The A35JT DXPedition to Tonga 

23rd September  – 7th October 2019

 

This Amateur Radio DX expedition is being mounted by a dedicated team of 4 HF Amateur Radio operators based out of Adelaide, South Australia to the island nation of Tonga. The team comprising Grant VK5GR, Oly VK5XDX, Andy VK5AKH and Steve VK5SFA will be operating from the north west tip of the island of Tongatapu (which is also home to the capital Nuku’alofa).

The team is staying at Teukava Beach Oasis on the North-West tip of the island.

 

Operating Plans

The team will be active on all bands between 160m and 6m with 3 500W stations. Operation will take place on SSB, CW, FT8, RTTY and JT65A (Moonbounce). More information on frequencies, QSL options, logs, propagation, operating practices etc is available from across this website!
